TSL024- WRITING
I used to like writing back then when I was in school. Sometimes I write stories and sometimes I write factual essay. It was until the point where my teacher complimented me that it was an advantage that I can write both because not everyone can come out with a narrative writing and not everyone can write a factual essay too. Now that it’s already Academic Writing, I still like it. Just no more stories, only research-based and I kind of have to sound ‘smarter’ in my writing now. Hahaha.
Learning the essay structure and process essay was challenging as Miss Farah was quite strict and detail. She thinks everything critically so whenever she corrects me and even my classmates, she will lead us to think critically as well. I think that is very beneficial because it opens my mind to think outside of the box and I know for sure that this bit of a skill that I got from her will be very useful for me in the future. My first assignment on writing was the Opinion Based Essay. Even though my topic got rejected for FOUR TIMES (it was so painful NGL) but I still enjoyed the process of completing that essay. One’s marriage determines one’s happiness was my final topic that got accepted. I publicized my questionnaire to get people’s opinions, and thankfully I got quite a number of helpful responses. After finishing my outline, I had my consultation with Miss Farah and she literally guided everything. She pointed out everything that sounded not so exact, and also corrected me with my structure. While she was correcting me, I realized that it was actually just easy to stick with a flow and structure in an essay. I hope that I can get high marks for my OBE, hehe <3

Nevertheless, I just want to express how I am truly in awe of Miss Farah. She is very very passionate in what she does and is also HIGHLY dedicated in her work. She stayed until 2am just to provide consultations for her students! I really aspire to be as enthusiastic as she is and to have a strong personality like she’s always portrayed.
