TSL014- READING
At first, I thought, reading? What a subject. I never knew that it can be a subject to learn about. I thought it was just a skill that everybody just need to polish and figure out by themselves. Turns out, there were so much to learn and I really find it important especially when it comes to the chapter on topic, stated main idea, and implied main idea. It really helped a lot even though I find it complicated. It trains my mind to correctly understand what a paragraph focuses on, and how to understand everything better.
The classes with Sir Afiq had always been fun. That’s the exact word to describe. Even from the start, during our ice-breaking session, his task was the most fascinating. Each of us had to give 2 truths and a lie about ourselves and the other classmates had to guess which was which. It was sweet because from that, some of us still remember the facts about our classmates just because from the session with Sir Afiq. Sometimes we’ll say something like “Oh yea, he/she told us during that time with Sir Afiq, right?” Not to forget the sharing sessions that we had every time before class. It gave me various types of new knowledge and it was very interesting. Apart from that, sometimes even through out the classes, Sir Afiq always had random topics to talk about and it made me gain tons of new knowledge. It was never a dull moment in Reading class.
This is my Journal Assignment 1. I slept late almost every day trying to complete it. It was not really a tough one, but I worked hard for it and I was quite impressed with the mark that I got. It was quite simple because we just had to pick an issue from the main journal given and write anything related to it. The topic that I chose was Limited Education for Underprivileged Students in Our New Norm. Since we are currently living with this pandemic, there were many news and updates that I can easily get while doing research. That is why I said completing my Journal Assignment 1 was quite a breeze.
This is an excerpt from my Reading presentation. We were supposed to present it in front of our class but due to Covid, we were instructed to record a video instead. After a few discussions, my group had chosen to talk about the fast fashion industry and my part was the impacts towards the society .
